
At the meeting of the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Public Health, a newly established institution within the ENVI Committee, EU Commission representative John Ryan mentioned the Young50 project as best practice in cardiovascular disease prevention.
Within a broader discussion on the topic of structured and standardised prevention within member States, the project was brought up as a positive example of scaled early screening in 14 member States for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, as one of the leading causes of death in the European Union.
